Hi there! I’m Mel Devon, a Motion and Brand Designer focused on building brands through scroll-stopping visuals and strategic storytelling. My design journey began in childhood, experimenting with early digital media tools like MS Paint, GarageBand, and SketchUp. That early curiosity led me to earn a degree in Digital Arts and Media Design from Penn State, where I concentrated on applying creative ideas to real-world challenges.

While still in school, I began freelancing, taking on local projects that allowed me to apply my skills in camerawork and graphic design. From there, I moved into in-house and agency roles, working with a wide range of clients across various industries. These early experiences sparked my interest in motion design and brand development.

Most recently, I’ve applied my motion, static, and editing skills in the DC Metro Area; where I worked to create ads for the 2024 U.S. election cycle and ads to promote content at Disney’s National Geographic. These roles further solidified my ability to create work that connects with national and global audiences.

Through all of these experiences, I’ve developed a strong ability to deliver distribution-ready visuals for broadcast, digital, social, and print. I bring a mix of 2D and 3D design skills, video production knowledge, and a collaborative mindset to every project.
